I'm 40 years old, so I don't hear many new words that aren't made up words (like "omg" or "bling" or "spyware"), so I'm always a little excited to expand my vocabulary a little.
Here's a word I'd never heard before until today:
frum.
It was in an article about Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin. In the article she was described as a "frum Christian." Thought it was a misspelling at first (though I have no idea what word I thought was misspelled). I had to look it up.
So here's the definition (drum roll please)...
..."religious or Pious." It also turns out that it's not English. It's Yiddish.
I was reading the online version of the Israel Times. That would explain it.
