I heard this article on All Things Considered on public radio last night, and I immediately realized that the story would have fit in as well on the satirical website The Onion as easily as it did on All Things Considered. Because it certainly sounds like a joke. Except they're not kidding!At least, I don't THINK they are. Maybe the whole thing is some April Fool's gag.
In any event, it made for a weird story.
