I'm a fan of the Indigo Girls. A big fan. Maybe the biggest non-lesbian fan ever.
Anyway, this is the first Indigo Girls song I ever heard, and it's still my favorite. In the same way that I think of "Born to Run" when I think of Bruce Springsteen and "Thriller" when I think of Michael Jackson, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" when I think of Nirvana, and "We Will Rock You" when I think of Queen, this is the song I associate with the Indigo Girls. Just like all of those other artists, there are plenty of other good Indigo Girls songs, but this is THE song.
