I guess I could NOT post anything today, but it's been so long since I missed a post (October 9, 2008, t0 be exact) that I'm afraid someone might think something has happened to me. So great! Now this has become another responsibility of mine!
Anyway, here are some random thoughts just to let you know I'm still alive:
Random Thought 1: My school district was off school AGAIN yesterday. That brings the grand total of days we've missed this year to five. FIVE! That's more than we've ever had in the 19 years I've been in the district.
Random Thought 2: Last year, as many of you know, Lisa went back to full time teaching. She quickly realized it was too much for her. She agreed, though, to do a long term sub job (7 weeks) for the teacher who replaced her as that teacher was going on maternity leave. This sub job has sort of reinforced for her that this is too much work.
Random Thought 3: Why can't I pour liquid out of a Mr. Coffee-style carafe without getting it all over the place? Do they intentionally design these coffee pots to a) break if dropped from any height further than 3 inches and b) spill all over the counter when poured? I thankfully don't have a carafe like that at home anymore, but the one at work is driving me crazy.Random Thought 4: I've pretty much gotten used to the idea of living where we live now rather than at Vent Haven. It's been a long, long time since I took the wrong turn off the interstate and started heading to my old house.
Random Thought 5: I just found out there's only one "f" in "carafe." Thanks, Blogger Spell Checker!
