- my wife
- my children
- days off work
- that moment when you think you've already eaten the last cookie from the bag, but then you realize that there is one left
- family
- coffee
- forced air furnaces
- that it is not a year ago today, because I came home from Thanksgiving dinner and then loaded the moving truck and worked from then until Monday morning
- for work
- for my health
- for police officers
- that no one I know personally has died in the War on Terror. I'm also thankful to those I personally know who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan have done so, and that most of them are home now
- for turkey
- for dressing
- for pumpkin pie
- for potatoes, that wonderful vegetable that you can deep fry or cover with cheese or mash or cover with bacon...or heck, I guess you can do all of them at once!
- for friends
- for Facebook
- for blogs
- that the world seems a little smaller thanks to the Internet
- for co-workers
- for my job
- for peace of mind
- that, with the economy as bad as its been lately, I have not gone hungry or filed for unemployment or even really worried about my own job
- for soft blankets and pillows
- that I am not homeless
- for board games and chicken wings
- and for Ladder Ball or Hillbilly golf or whatever you want to call it, which is what I was playing in that photo from yesterday...
